Resale Rights Products - Why Would You Create One ?

A resale rights product is a product that has been created primarily by the author for the purpose of raising their profile within the community of their particular niche. The scenario is that if you are famous, you can sell a lot more of your product. That is the reason why all top brands have celebrity endorsements, it adds to their status, their standing and their credibility. The more famous the celebrity, the more sales they are likely to achieve.

But what about if you are not famous? How much harder is it to sell your product - it does not matter how good your product is no one will be interested. This is why among the internet community people have realized they need to become famous, to become an authority within their chosen niche market to increase their sales and make the big money.

This is where the resale rights products come in. A creator of a product (in most cases an eBook but it could be a cd, dvd, software or anything in their related niche) will spend their time and money making the product usually with a website, a sales page and possibly a thank you page. This package is then sold on at little cost, to other people to allow them to sell the product using all the tools provided, but also allowing them to keep any money they make on the product as their commission for advertising the authors name and making them more renowned within their niche.

So why would you create a resale rights product?

The whole idea is to get your name out there and once you are that well known you become the 'go to guy' so people are looking to you for all the information- this is when you start reaping the rewards and any products you create sell like hot cakes and the money comes rolling in.
