Online Network Marketing and Your Website.
Do you need a website to build a successful network marketing business? Well, if you are using the Internet to develop your business, the answer is yes. And it has to be more than your free, replicated company website. You need your own piece of Internet real estate.
Your website will more than likely be the first point of contact for any potential customers and distributors. It has to do the job and that job is create enough interest that they will want more information. You have to entice them to return to your website.
And one of the most important aspects of your site is to create trust. You have to come across as someone who is trustworthy. If you can build trust with those who visit your site it will help your network marketing business grow. Aren't you more likely to make a purchase from someone you trust? Of course you are. And so are the people that visit your site!
Just having a website does not guarantee you any amount of success. It has to be such that the search engines will give it some drawing power. That is, it has to have some rankings by the search engines because that is where you get targeted traffic. People that are looking for what you have will find your site if it is good enough to get rankings.
Traffic is the life blood of any website. And that traffic has to be targeted, that is, it has to be people looking for what you are offering. That means you have to identify who your market is and focus on attracting those people. Having people visit your website that have no interest in your offer means nothing. Absolutely nothing.
So if you are getting lots of traffic to your site, yet no sales, you may be just getting the wrong traffic. In other words you are getting visitors who are not interested in your product etc. If you want to get targeted traffic then you have to do some research on the words people are using to search similar products. Use these words on your website and you will begin to get targeted traffic.
Another important aspect of your website is the domain name you choose. Try not to make it too long and it should have something to do with your product or opportunity. Statistics show that it takes on average seven visits to any particular website before the prospect takes some type of action.
One final word about your website. Have some way to capture the visitors name and email. Of course you must ask for this information so you can contact them at a later date. Never contact anyone who does not give you permission. You do not want to be accused of spamming.
To build a successful online network marketing business you need a website that is attractive, functional and gathers information. Learn how to use your website and you will see your network grow.
