You have full control over which of your website pages you want the ads to appear, where on the page and in what style they're shown.

Affiliate Marketing

This is a very popular way of making money on the internet. Basically, merchants allow other people, their affiliates, to promote their products in return for a commission. These can be generous, up to 75% for some digital products. As an affiliate, you send potential customers to the merchant's site through text links, banner ads or product reviews.

You are given your personal affiliate code which ensures that if someone buys from the merchant's site you get credited with the sale for sending them there. The beauty of affiliate marketing is that you don't have to worry about shipping or customer concerns, as the merchant will take care of all that.

Selling An Ebook

This is a strategy that has been around for a while, and it still works. The big advantage with selling an ebook is that once it's written it can be downloaded any number of times and it won't cost you a penny - everything you make on it is profit. You don't have to keep stocks of it either. You may think there's nothing you could write about that people would be interested in buying, but you would be surprised. There's a market for all kinds of information.

These are the top three ways of making money from your website, and are a good place to start. There are many more, and new ideas are being tried all the time as the internet develops.

Naturally, before you will be able to profit from any of these strategies, you'll need to drive plenty of traffic to your website or blog... but that's another story!
