Working Mums At Home - Free Resources.
Most working mums at home have to multi-task as an essential requirement, particularly if their children are young and not at school. They often juggle several tasks at once with a speed and efficiency that would be envied by the most senior manager.
But often working mums at home struggle to overcome personal barriers such as finances, finding suitable resources and isolation.
This article aims to provide a few tips that may just help to make the difference. Listed below are a few free resources that can be found, quite easily, on the internet.
1. There are several specialist chat rooms for working mums at home which can be Googled. This can help to break up the day and provide a few moments of much needed friendly chat.
2. There are a number of online forums for mums working at home. Just Google 'working mums from home forums' and they will appear. Forums are a little like online chat rooms and advice can be sought and friendships made. If time is taken to browse around the forums they can help to alleviate some of the isolation of working from home plus the advice given is from others in similar circumstances.
3. For those financially challenged but wanting to have a website, there is a site called Moonfruit which will offer you an easy-to-build website for free. I have personally used them and been very pleased with the results. You can add photos, text, further pages and more all in a user friendly way.
4. If you want to promote your business for free on the internet, then there are lots of ways to do this, including social media (Twitter, MySpace, Facebook etc) which also provides social interaction.
5. For those who want to branch out into video, there are sites that allow you to build videos using photos from your collection and will set these to music for you, just Google 'make free video'. There is a facility to add text screens and the result can be very professional even though it is completely free. Again, I have used this service myself and been very pleased with the results, although if you want a video longer than 30 seconds you need to upgrade.
There are a lot more resources out there which I can't fit all into one article, so please do take a look at my other articles for more tips and advice.
