An Online Business Started In Ten Easy Stages.

Okay, first off, it is not as easy to start an online business as the title suggests, it takes hard work and dedication just to get your business off the ground. But having your own profitable online business is worth every minute you put into it. Before you set off on your new venture, check out the following stages.

(1) Find out who your typical customer will be, will your product/service fill the potential customers needs? Are your competitors supplying a similar product/service? Is your product/service better? Better value for money? Who will supply the product/service to you? What will you charge for the product/service? How are you going to market it? These are the main questions you need to find an answer for.

(2) Sit down and write out your business plan, using all the information in stage 1. The business plan is important; it needs to include your company description, what your goals are, who your competitors are, all the financial information and how you are going to reach your goals.

(3) You will need to have your financing in place; this could be from a bank loan, your own personal savings, or even using a credit card. But before using any of these you need to know your business plan "inside out" and then some more!

(4) Decide on a name for your online business; try to make sure your business name reflects the type of product or service you are providing. For instance, if you are selling e-books, your business name could be The e-book Store, David's e-books, The e-book vault, just make sure that no other business is using the same name and that yours is unique.

(5) Set up a business account at your bank, and have some kind of record keeping system in place.

(6) Contact any potential creditors and agree to any credit terms.

(7) If you have researched your suppliers, you could now contact them and discuss terms.

(8) Decide where you are going to operate your online business, often the best place would be using your own home, or you could lease an office.

(9) Now its time to purchase your office equipment and of course your supplies, there will be many items you will need but the main item will be a computer with internet access, probably a printer, scanner etc.

(10) Now it is time to advertise your new company and its products, a quick search on any search engine such as Google, for the word advertising this will result in an abundance of places for you to advertise, some paid for and some free. It would be a good idea at first to try the free to advertise sites and to track your advertising. See what is working and what is not, fine tune your advertising until you are showing some good results, then you could consider the paid to advertise sites. Should you now decide to go ahead and start an Online Business I wish you good luck and good fortune.
