The Affiliate Code - Will It Really Make Me Money ?
Buying The Affiliate Code and doing exactly what is taught will not make you 60k a month immediately. It won't even make you 1k a month out of the box. My first affiliate site - 'Learn Guitar Skills' did not start to make a single cent until 3 months after its launch. I spent a great deal of time experimenting with PPC, SEO and link-building, made a lot of mistakes, got Google-slapped big time and I was on the verge of giving up. It was not until I did extensive research night after night, trying to figure out why I wasn't make any money even after following exactly what was shown in The Affiliate Code, did I realise that the things taught in The Affiliate Code is just a fundamental part of a jigsaw puzzle.
What The Affiliate Code will teach is:
1. Choosing Your Niche - How to pick a winning niche that will be extremely lucrative and give you room to expand your empire.
2. Picking Your Product - Tips you need for selecting a powerful product that will yield high returns. Knowing what products to select will keep you ahead of the affiliate game by helping you stay away from losers.
3. Tech Talk Site Setup - What you need to do to get yourself setup as a serious affiliate marketer, including setting up your own website.
4. Using an Autoresponder - An in depth guide at what an autoresponder is and how it works. Plus, how to use one to maximize revenue.
5. Copywriting 101 - Essential skills you MUST know to get maximum response from your viewers in emails, squeeze pages, sales pages, and ads.
6. Driving Free Traffic - Killer technique for getting on the first page of Google in days instead of months.
7. Tracking - One thing that serious internet marketers need to do is track everything so that you know what works and what doesn't work. Where are you getting that traffic? What traffic converts to sales?
8. Scaling it Up - What to do to take your business to the next level.
There are many other pieces of the puzzle you need to know, besides the absolutely crucial stuff you will learn in The Affiliate Code. Honestly, this is a terrific package to get you started making your first affiliate site. Getting your first site up is the most important milestone to achieve if you are remotely interested in making real money as an affiliate. So, what are these other pieces of the puzzle I'm talking about, that is covered just very briefly (inadequately) in The Affiliate Code?
1. AdWords / PPC Marketing - Michael Jones talks very briefly about AdWords and other forms of PPC marketing, but not in sufficient detail such that you know exactly how to go about creating a killer PPC campaign. He does not go into detail about 'Google slaps', something that I heard to learn the hard (and expensive) way.
2. Traffic Techniques - Not a lot is covered about how to get traffic to your site. As I mentioned in the first part of my review, if there is no traffic, there are no sales. Sales is ultimately what puts money in your pockets. There is a section about 'getting free traffic', but the technique is widely know and Google's algorithms are changing so fast that this technique is ineffective.
3. Social Media Marketing - If you really solely on Google or PPC to drive visitors to your site, you are not marketing your site aggressively enough. With social media sites like Twitter gaining popularity greatly, you need to leverage on these new forms of media to drive people to your site, and convert them into paying customers.
4. List Building Secrets - Once again, Michael Jones does a great job of explaining and bringing you step-by-step on how to set up an autoresponder on autopilot, but there is no module dedicated to telling you the secrets of actually getting people on the subscriber list. A huge list of subscribers greatly enhances your earning power. This is very important if you want to make good money.
What I'm saying is, The Affiliate Code is an awesome product to get started, but you will need other resources to supplement the things taught. I've paid for several affiliate training products and ALL of them teach generally the same basic things. There is not one product I have come across that actually teaches you everything and spoon-feed you like a baby. There is simply too much to be learnt, and all affiliate marketing training products out there generally give you a basic idea of how to make money, and the rest is hard work, research, and experimentation. There is no point trying to find ONE PRODUCT that is able to teach you everything. The Affiliate Code is one of the better ones there is.
There are important insights about PPC marketing, Traffic Techniques, Social Media Marketing and List Building Secrets that, when coupled with the excellent material covered in The Affiliate Code, will make your journey to being a profitable affiliate marketeer more realistic and possible. I have spent a lot of time figuring all these out and learning that you need to know these topics well in order to succeed. Do not expect to start making 60k a month overnight. A realistic expectation will be to start making a few hundred dollars within the first 6 months, and then when you scale up your business and expand to more niches, you could probably start bringing in a few thousand a month.
